TQ Training Selected to be Training Partner by ASLEF
On 15th October, Jane Quarmby, TQ’s Chairman, and Shirley Handsley on behalf of the Associated Society of Locomotive Engineers and Fireman (ASLEF) Education, signed a partnership agreement. The key principles of this are to promote and encourage lifelong learning for all ASLEF Education learners, raising the skills of rail employees, family and friends. The partnership will train people to do their jobs well, give them learning that will help them to progress their careers, give them learning for their own personal development and help them to get on in life. TQ and ASLEF, along with the rail companies, will seek to make learning accessible, affordable and of a high quality. Jane said she was delighted that TQ had proved themselves worthy of such a partnership through their work with ASLEF and Virgin Trains, designing and implementing a high quality Train Driving Apprenticeship programme which is working well.
