TQ Training wins awards

Congratulations go to local training provider, TQ Training Management Services, based near Daventry that is celebrating achieving two quality kite marks in the same week!

The company has achieved 'emskills' recognition for its service to employers and 'matrix' certification for quality delivery of information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work.

"We are delighted to have achieved these nationally recognised standards," said MD Jane Quarmby at a special presentation ceremony held last month. "These awards are testament to the focus we put on delivering a service that fully meets the training needs of the employer and the trainee. We'd like to thank staff for all their hard work and clients for their continued support."

emskills is the East Midlands quality model that accredits best practice in meeting the training and support needs of business - it is the regional standard of training provider excellence. The project has been operational for over 2½ years and has developed a self-assessment and quality improvement model, with external validation by City and Guilds, applicable to provision of training for employers. It is jointly funded by the LSC and East Midlands Development Agency, with the aim to determine agreed best practice benchmarks to support the development of a regional brand that employers recognise as being a standard for excellent provision in employer engagement.

The 'matrix' Standard is the national quality standard for any organisation that delivers information, advice and/or guidance on learning and work and replaces the original National Quality Standards for Learning and Work, which were introduced to ensure that the information, advice and guidance services funded by the Government were of a high quality.
