Why did you choose an Apprenticeship?

“To help me develop my knowledge and skills in dealing with the public while working as a security guardat Kirkgate Market in Bradford”.

 

 

 

What did your Apprenticeship programme involve?

“I have already completed examinations in maths and English and I am still working on my BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Customer Service”.

 

 

 

What did you learn?

“I have improved my Maths and English and would like to develop them even further given the chance.  I have learned about my rights and responsibilities as an employee and also about Health and Safety in the Workplace and how to carry out Risk Assessments”.

 

 

 

How did/does your Tutor support you through your Apprenticeship?

“My assessor visits me once a month and he supports me by carrying out observations of me dealing with customers and market stall holders.  He asks me questions about my work and asks the stall holders for their comments on what I have been doing”.

“He has helped me develop my Maths and my English by teaching me a little more on every visit”.

 

 

 

 

What next?

“I would like to do another course when I finish my current apprenticeship but not sure what yet, as I have still some time to go”.
