New Qualifications

Not all job roles or training courses lend themselves to either NVQ's or more academic qualifications. In some cases this is because demand is low and new qualifications have been designed as a result; in other cases, the job role is specialist or new and a new qualification has yet to be designed.

TQ Consultancy Ltd has recently worked with the Security Industry Training Organisation to design the Modern Apprenticeship framework for Investigation and Decision support.

This involved liaison with the Army, Customs and Excise, the Police, the benefits Agency and other agencies to specify a generic job role requiring a recognised level of key Skills (with optional units), and technical certificates.

This Modern Apprenticeship framework has now been approved by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority and we are delivering the framework to the MOD.

We are also working with the Languages national training Organisation to design NVQ's in languages. These are currently only available as units towards an NVQ not a full NVQ's.

We are able to work with a range of employers to design individual portfolios of qualifications together with accreditation.

Mapping and Consultancy specialist teams will map job roles and training against a wide range of National Vocational Qualifications, working directly from the National Database.
