Vocational Qualifications

TQ offers adult learners and businesses the chance to really develop skills and have them recognised.

NVQs are work-based qualifications that recognise an individual's ability to carry out a particular job role to national standards. It's all done in the workplace, there are no academic qualifications needed to enter a programme, there are no tests or exams and one-to-one tuition is provided. Our Assessors are all sector competent and qualified, and can offer high levels of support where required and will work through the qualification at the Learner's pace, once our development team has mapped it into the training already delivered. We cut down on unnecessary paperwork by using audio and video recording, where security permits, and we sign-post to evidence rather than copy it over and over again.

Our SfL team also deliver Literacy and Numeracy tuition at levels 1 and 2. These are defined as being 'the ability to read, write and speak English and to use mathematics at a level necessary to function and progress at work and society in general.' Although they are 'stand alone' qualifications they are often used to support a Learner to complete a vocational award. More....
